When Piper Mars discovers that Vic Mancini has stolen an enchanted recipe book, she knows trouble is about to boil over. Piper teams with her witchy mentor Sherry to confront the thief and they threaten him with more than just a late fee, in front of everyone in Carterton Cove. Vic suggests they’re overreacting about a ‘beat-up old cookbook’ and Sherry blows her lid, so when Vic is found dead in Piper’s food truck, Piper’s magic mentor becomes the prime suspect.

 

They’re half a teaspoon short of an alibi, and even Piper isn’t sure if Sherry is innocent. But they’re not the only ones in town who wanted Vic—a sleazy real estate agent—put on ice.

 

To clear her friend’s name, Piper’s going to need all the help she can get.
